Cadbury causes Christmas fury as they replace traditional Fudge bar with Dairy Milk Oreo in selection boxes
Cadbury, however, are being called out for ruining Christmas this 2017 as they have made a major change to their chocolate selection boxes.
In a twist for this year, the chocolate favourites have made the bold decision to swap out the traditional Fudge bar in favour of Dairy Milk Oreo – and it’s not gone down well.
While some fans are pleased with the new arrangement, others are fuming the festive chocolate box will no longer be the same.
Taking to Twitter to air their fury, one wrote: “You’re missing the point Cadbury. People want a traditional Fudge bar in their selection box. Not that travesty which is an Oreo.”
Another said: “That moment when you open your #Cadbury selection box and find an Oreo monstrosity and not the beloved Fudge!”
“OMG, just heard #Cadbury have changed fudge for Oreo dairy milk, what are you thinking? Have you lost your mind @CadburyUK, it’s the best bit #BahHumbug,” said another.
However, while the majority of Cadbury lovers were pretty furious with the change, others did admit they were all for the new addition.
“I love how people are completely up in arms about Cadbury taking the fudge bar out of their selection boxes for an Oreo bar. I’ve never once walked into a shop with the intention of buying a fudge bar #CalmDown,” said one puzzled Twitter user.
Agreeing, another tweeted: “Whoever put the Oreo dairy milk in the selection box is a genius I will love you forever.”
Cadbury’s confirmed: “This year we have updated the range available within our selection boxes to improve the mix and offer more of a variety for our fans.
“Cadbury Fudge is still available in our small selection box and Freddo selection box but has been removed from the medium selection box to ensure we’re offering choice between the ranges.”
Cadbury’s aren’t the only chocolate brand annoying buyers this Christmas as Celebrations also made a controversial decision with their festive boxes.
